How do I manage users for my FleetControl account?⚓︎
Select the gear icon in the top right and under Administration, open Users. Here, you can invite new users as well as manage existing ones.
How do I add new users to my fleet?⚓︎
Navigate to Users and select ** + Invite user to fleet in the top left. Enter the invitee’s email and select a role. Finally, press Invite**. The invitee will receive an email invitation to join your account.
How do I remove users from my fleet?⚓︎
Navigate to Users and select the user from the list on the left. Click Remove from fleet and confirm your selection.
Roles⚓︎
What are Roles?⚓︎
Roles are preconfigured sets of permissions that determine what parts of your FleetControl account users can view and change. When you invite users to your account, you have to assign them a role.
Can I change a user’s role?⚓︎
Yes. Navigate to Users and select the user from the list on the left. Select a new role from the dropdown menu and click Update User.
What permissions does each role have?⚓︎
Fleetmanager
Users with the role Fleetmanager can view all data and access all features. Only Fleetmanagers can make changes to existing vehicles and devices.
Callcenter
Users with the role Callcenter can use the following operational features:
- Lock/Unlock Central Lock
- Lock/Unlock Immobilizer
- Reset connections
- Inspect vehicles
- Configure vehicles and devices
Callcenter users can also change the password of users with an equal or lower role.
Technical Support
Users with the role Technical Support have access to the same operational features as users with the role Callcenter. However, they cannot configure vehicles or devices nor make changes to user accounts. Their permissions include:
- Lock/Unlock Central Lock
- Lock/Unlock Immobilizer
- Reset connections
- Inspect vehicles
Controlling
Users with the role Controlling are only allowed to view the following data:
- Vehicle data
- Device data
- Events
- Customer profile
- User profiles
They cannot trigger any actions nor make any changes.
Can I adjust roles or create new ones?⚓︎
No. Currently, changing a role’s set of permissions or creating individual roles is not possible. If you are not sure which roles you should assign to your users, you can contact the INVERS support for assistance.
